Agreed, I do not think they will be "laid back" after it goes off for more than a minute... if even that.uncommonsense wrote:Ummm. Yeah. No.markslimm wrote:But the Police are so lade back that if you have a siren you can let it wind up a bit not to loud, but if its ok with your neighbors. I have a Thunderbolt and bring it to the lake with me and neighbors do not mind but I do not let it wind all the way up.
Why would you want to take, let alone set off a Thunderbolt at a lake?markslimm wrote:I thank they do Silent tests. I did not say setting it off I sad "Wind up a bit" like a growl that only my neighbors can hear. I'm here in Branson and all I've seen is 2700s.uncommonsense wrote:The region, especially Osage Beach, is lined with Whelen 2800s (it felt like they were everywhere the last time I drove through). Ozarks is a man made lake to power Ameren's hydroelectric operations; winds aren't much of a problem there.
Enjoy your stay! I love it up there.
Branson ≠ Lake of the Ozarks. Branson is on Lake Taneycomo and surrounded by Bull Shoals and Table Rock Lake. All Branson has is 2700s, but you'll find Thunderbolts all around rural Stone and Taney County (drive out to Branson West and there is a Thunderbolt, a damn good looking one, behind the Wal-Mart. Galena, at one point, had one of the lowest mounted Thunderbolts I'd ever seen; not sure if it is still there or not). I'm not sure what kind of sirens are around the resorts of Table Rock.Crazywarriorman wrote: I'm here in Branson and all I've seen is 2700s.
I was in Springfield back in March to see Jeff Dunham at the JQH Arena on the MSU campus, I saw the STH-10 (near some athletic fields and the arena), along with a nearby 2001, never saw the SD-10s though, I had a video showing the 2001, but may have deleted it.uncommonsense wrote:...a late model STH-10 and two roof mounted SD-10s on Missouri State's campus.Crazywarriorman wrote: I'm here in Branson and all I've seen is 2700s.
