Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. Decided to put more Sirens up and they wanted ThunderBolts And The Specified 1000T's. Red Arrow Siren Service. out of Prairire Du Sac, Wisconsin has the Job. Who asked Me to find the Thunderbolts for them. Mount Horeb is putting 2 new thunderbolts up and Taking the 1003 and changing it to a 1000T The whole head is being replaced because the shaft bearing froze and stripped the teeth off the gear box rotater. and it is being relocated from the fire station. As a Decot is going up at the fire station. This should be done by the end of December I will try and get Pictures of them going up.

Waldport, Oregon, recently put three 1000's up for tsunami sirens, which is pretty good for a town of 1,500 people that is only about 1 mile long. They bought them from Spokane, Washington, which removed all their sirens. At one time only a few years ago, there was still a Chrysler siren standing in Spokane.

The thunderbolt 1000 sirens in Waldport have been removed in 2013. I currently own one of them, the one that was on Medowlark Ln just outside of Waldport on the Alsea highway. It's a 1000A (3 ph. blower and rotator) and when they took them down they cut the standpipe because the bolts were full on rusted in. (in fact only 2 of the 3 bolts that were in there, yes one bolt was missing, were actually holding it in place.) 3 of the what I believe were 50 sirens in spokane were used in waldport and if I am again not mistaken the system was originally put up in the 60s.

Own and love a Thunderbolt 1000 and a Model 5.

I have many hobbies and interests. And I love them all.
