Re: 3 signal ACA Hurricane question

I think installing solenoids extraneously -a la side pieces- would've necessitated a specialized fiberglass molding since the horn and outer chopper-housing were one solid piece, and I have a hunch that would've been costly. :P I'd imagine a small vertical solenoid could've been neatly integrated b...

Re: 3 signal ACA Hurricane question

From an ACA signal timer manual, found in a 1981 Banshee 115 starter cabinet at WSS.
The solenoids used on the Hurricane were made by Trombetta, which was located near Mequon. Unfortunately, nobody really knows how exactly they were setup in the siren.

Re: How much do sirens cost at West Shore Services?

I got a few Banshees from them for $200-$250 each, though the only ones left are incredibly rough. You'd also have to build a 1-PH starter from scratch (not easy or cheap, over $500).

Thank you very much! Do you happen to know the potential relay specs on the banshee? Can I see a clearer photo of the relay’s part number? Thanks!

Re: Any information on a ACA 1 ph Banshee?

Hello, not sure if I’m in the right place but I’m just wondering where I can find a wiring diagram on a 1 Phase ACA Banshee? Or information on the motor., like start and run capacitors, wire numbers etc… Any information will help! Thanks. This is for a P-15 with a Baldor motor. Motor manufacturers ...

Re: 1986 ACA Alertronic 6000R

One thing I've been wondering is the ASC 400W amp and how its interfaced with the other 200W amps in the box. Are those ASC amps just two-200W amps fused together in one box ala the Federal A100 found in the MCP or are they a full 400W amp? If its a full 400W, did you have any issues with powering ...

Re: 1986 ACA Alertronic 6000R

Got the cabinet finished up and on its stand, as well as applied decals and installed the board assembly. Currently waiting for a few more parts for the battery cables and then it should be 100% done. Still have yet to get the rear cover patched up, then the siren will be 100% done as well; really n...
