Re: Dutch air raid sirens

Thanks, i finnaly got how it works. i know the electronic sirens, happens that i have doubts about those mechanical ones, i'd like to learn who made them, as i know they're not siemens despite the double hat design like the old german units..

Dutch air raid sirens

i'm researching the dutch sirens, as they seem to resemble the siemens fm si 41.
however, they sound like 9 port / 50hz as the german E57 does.

Is it known if Philips , the electronic giant from Eindhoven, have made sirens
for the kingdom of the netherlands in ww2 time?

Here in arge i believe that firehouses sometimes can tweak their sirens. I have a hard time trying to remember where it was. But, seriously, as arge has 220/380 volt, 50hz and we had relations with germany and scandinavia in the 20th century, i'd perfectly think that what i found far from home is a ...

Hey, i believe the siren i saw is mostly the danish one in the picture.

Can this siren be from fisker & nielsen, the makers of the nilfisk vacs and the motorbikes?

This is a danish siren, it is the most similar one to the "T".
