Re: Idaho siren testing dates and times

Re: Sparton siren questions.

Here's streetview of the Eden, WI one. The building looks an awful lot like it was built as a fire station, and appears to be next to the meat market: https://maps.app.goo.gl/7PLhdFwGLPiC2kow5

Re: ACA Hurricane Map

ive been waiting for more posts on this thread i hope there are more so the thread does not get closed We do not have topics set up to lock automatically, and only do so manually if they are problematic. Re: FEDERAL SD10 Advertisment

It's likely a prototype, but there are SD-10s out there which don't have the band. Instead, they have mesh screening, like you'd see on the housing of a Model 5. My guess is, it was cheaper and easier to work with than the slotted vents on the prototype photographed. I'd guess it never made it into ...

Re: Mini Sirens for sale (soon)!!

If you'd like to start selling items, I would appreciate if you could instead make a thread in the For Sale board, to keep things tidy.

Thank you!

Re: i found a none known siren. (Roblox siren?)

I am locking this thread as it serves no purpose. I can't believe I have to say this, but Roblox Corporation has never been a siren manufacturer. The one in the eBay link is a common generic unit made for car alarms, and is not very interesting.

Re: Why Didn't the USA Use Air Raid Sirens in the Vietnam War?

Vietnam didn't have ICBMs or nuclear weapons. Besides, the Vietnam war took place during the Cold War, so the US mainland did have active sirens during that time. Somebody else with a bit more knowledge can likely chime in regarding US bases in Vietnam, but I'm sure there was at least some form of w...

I believe that the siren in burley is actually a sterling m-10
I should probably update the links in my original post from Dropbox to Flickr, but I can confirm it is a Type-B. https://flickr.com/photos/37845152@N05/ ... 2834926938
