Siren Differentiation

What's the best way to distinguish the different 2001 models? I see 2001 DC, -130, -SRNB. Is it just staring at the stickers/labels, or are there easy to spot physical differences (like the solenoid box on the 1003...)?

I've continued to add to the site with a little help from the forum and my own travels. I intend on implementing the ability for users to log in and add/edit sirens on their own and could use a few "alpha/beta" testers. Send me an email at beta@thesirenmap.com if you're at all interested a...

Thanks everyone. Knew I wouldn't be let down. Looked like an electronic speaker array when I drove past... 8 speakers, 4 on top of 4, 90 degrees apart. Crazy looking. And that's evidence that my memory sucks. In my defense, I was driving on I-94. ATI HPSS16-R and FS EOWS 115 it is. http://thesirenma...

http://thesirenmap.com is something I'm (slowly, very slowly) working on. No logins yet, but feel free to PM me any siren locations (preferably google maps lat/lon) and I'll be more than happy to add it.

Came across the Allertor in town. It's on top of the K-State Foundation building at Anderson and Timberlane Dr. ( http://thesirenmap.com/map/180 ). I'm trying to figure out when it runs, but I think it's the only one in town that runs daily. Scouted it for a week and everyday it was in a different o...

@dilloncarpenter I've never been to Norman. That was purely Google Maps/Streetview discoveries. I'm interested in any siren that's still in place. If it's operational, broken, etc, that's fine. I intend on incorporating history and status metadata at a point in the future. I am very interested in ma...

Central Siren Location Map

So I've been working on a Google Maps enabled web site for a while to allow the mapping of siren locations and models. I was hoping to start collecting data from people here (the best place for OWS enthusiasts). Site is http://www.thesirenmap.com . It doesn't have any sort of login just yet, so I ha...
