The 2001 is on a college campus, but is owned by the city and was installed around 1994. In 2009 the college decided their campus was not adaquetly covered and they also wanted voice capabilities. They installed a MOD4016 on a building about 1000 feet away from the 2001. Both sirens are still in service, and the 2001 remains as a back up in case something should go wrong with the MOD.
