The gray siren looks like a Federal Model B to me. :D

Not to hijack the thread...but...How effective, or ineffective, was that slot cut into the Model B? I actually think it's a Mars siren...correct me if I'm wrong? I know they both look somewhat similar.

Just seems to make more sense to keep the projector cone a full cone without a "port" cut in it, like the Model B has on it.

Appears to be a MARS siren on first glance. However, this one looks to be kept in pretty good shape, aside from that odd cutting that they retrofitted in there.

I'm more willing to bet this is an older Federal siren however.

That's an old "coded" Federal Model B, and the square box-looking things pointing either direction are actually the way they came. Still haven't quite figured out how they coded the signal of this one, doesn't look like it had any form of dampers, movable stator (like the Fedelcode 2), or otherwise.
