Anyway, do you know how old it is? It seems as weathered as the fairly new street signs in my town.

Hmmm, a lot of siren companies nowadays use cheap paint on their sirens. It looks strangely familiar to an air raid siren in Nice, France.

To me it doesn't even look painted, it looks more like brushed aluminum or something.

Could it be some home built model we've never heard of? I can't think of who it could be made by. That ad is the only source of information on anything CTI. And it says nothing about this model. I don't think there are any SMO-15's in the wild, either.

Its cast aluminum. I'm curious to see what the internal rotor/stator configuration is.

It looks like the bottom of the siren, including the horns, is a flat plate held in place by those bolts in each horn.

I said my comment about the paint because the worn out labels remind me of a Model 2 I heard that got rusted completely after 5 years.

The motor speed has me thinking about what this would sound like. At 2300RPM, wouldn't it sound close to a 10 port siren on 50Hz?

It's interesting that the projectors come off at an angle, much like the French sirens that Daniel mentioned. It's also interesting that they're square.

If the siren is 10 port, and the motor is 2300 RPM, the siren would peak at around 385 hertz. That's quite a bit lower than an STL-10. *hertz proven with math*

Consider that it has a DC motor, does that make a difference?
