I hook 100 watt PA horns into my Sony bookshelf speaker all the time to screw around with, and nothing has happened yet. So, yes, it's probably safe if I have done it with no issues.4J25 wrote:Yep, that would be it. Is it safe?
The voice coil impedance is usually 8-11 ohms, however many PA apeakers of that type have an integral transformer which is designed to be used with a 25 or 70 V line.
