Today, I was browsing through a Facebook group of Memphis nostalgia and I ran across the picture below, of a gas powered Mobil Directo on top of a fire station at 711 National Avenue in Memphis. This fire station was torn down sometime in the 70s or 80s(?) and I believe that the siren was taken down and now resides on a trailer in the EMA parking lot, the one that I have seen in person. A new fire station, Fire Station #17, was built to replace the old one.
Below is the only picture that I can find of a Memphis gas-powered Mobil Directo (the EHS siren was converted to electric). This was taken in 1965.
