You need to strip all the paint off the horn, it's the only way you will be able to see the bends in the horn and be able to place the tape accordingly.

I have another question, Is there any way to tell what series my "abominationbolt" is? I think it is an A2, but I'm not sure.

It should be, the Tbolt was a '73 version right? Then it's an A2. Unless of course it has a different blower and not the original one, which probably is another A2

Yeah, my tbolt is from 1973

So, it's an A2, you're saying? The blower is pieced together from an early 60's motor and a 4M blower from the early 80s

Oh. If the blower itself is a 4M from the 80s, it should be a later A2 or B series (don't quote me on that). A1 is too late (way too late) and C is too early. The motor doesn't really matter when it was made for the type I think, it has to do with structure.

It's an A2. If it was a B-series it would have a vertical blower.

BTW you have your series backwards. A1 is the earliest, C is the latest.

No, I was saying that the blower was made too late to be am A1 and too early to be a C. But thanks for clearing that up.

Sorry for bumping again, but it's pretty much done for now.

Well, I ended up repainting the Tbolt after a majority of the white paint flaked off, and I took more careful precautions to storing it. I put a piece of foam under the area where the horn meets the top of the blower so it doesn't scratch the living **** out of it. From what I was able to tell, my assumption of it being a 1973 siren is incorrect. It's actually a '74 one from what I could tell.

Here's the siren as of tonight:

I changed out the Norman ID tag with one from Manchester, GA's old 1000AT:

And just for grins, our new puppy climbed on the Tbolt's blower, and immediately wanted to get down for some reason...

Thing's still a dud, but I could care less honestly. Sorry for the shaky images, my hand was injured (and bandaged up) last weekend due to a stupid mistake involving a Japanese WWII handgun I'm working on occurring.
