I guess what I don't understand is how you could just drive off without being seen after ramming down a concrete pole. To cause that much damage, one would have to imagine that your car will be pretty banged up. I would imagine undrivable. But what do I know?

A concrete pole fell on it, getting flattened is perfectly normal.
