Southern-esque folk art + inside of a Thunderbolt rotator panel = This.

The scribbly stuff is supposed to say "Greetings from 1974!" Flag's the flag Georgia had in '74, and a Thunderbolt is supposed to be what the thing under the flag is. It may look bad, but I'm pleased by it...

It says 1000, it came of a 1963 1000AT that was in a town near here, but the town decommissioned it, and a fellow member got his hands on it. I bought the leftovers from him, and made the thunderbolt you see in the bazillion pictures of it in this thread.

No problem at all. They are a bit hard to read sometimes. I actually had to put Talc Powder on it when I first got it to try and read some of the stuff.

Is that right? Hey another thing that maybe you could help me with is, was that cover with that little vent on the back for the late A2 or what kind of blower cover is that? The thunderbolt I have didn't have that vent on the back of the blower cover… But I couldn't open it up and check because the city threw the blower out because "I was taking too long to get it." I think it might have been an early A2 not only because of no vent but it's also from the 60's.

No vents on the box is either a 5M A2 or an A1 blower.

Sorry for bumping again, but this old guy is about to go to a new home, which is the underside of my deck. This guy is just taking up WAY too much space in the garage, and the underside of the deck is barely occupied (except for a lawnmower).

Another bump, but I got the siren in it's new "Home". I may build a skid to test the rotator with like I did a year ago, but I am not sure yet.

Did you do anything with the chopper motor yet? As a probably not so good suggestion maybe you could replace that motor with a WWR (Working when removed) Model 2?
