Down here in Texas, we've got a few.
Grapevine, Texas has one Thunderbeam in its system.
The EPZ system for Comanche Peak has a BUNCH of Thunderbeams, which are supposed to be getting replaced with ASC I-Forces eventually.
You sure the Thunder Beam is still running in De Soto? As far as I know, that one and the thunder beam in spring hill, KS were both removed around the same time.2t22boy wrote:There is also one at 103rd & Sunflower Rd in Clearview City (De Soto, KS)
Kingfisher, OK Also has one in the Downtown area.
Welcome to the board, Dieselfan66! I agree with what you're saying, since the one in my home town (see picture that I previously posted) wasn't that old when the gearbox quit working. It was a good design in theory, but it seems that quite a good number of the ones still out there have a problem with the gears in their gearbox.Dieselfan66 wrote:I've seen a few different thunderbeams around. I've never heard of one still being functional. I guess the disc pretty much falls out.
