This is awesome and I can't wait to listen to these old recordings.

2 hours and 3 minutes, this is when you need to get a filter on your Broadband line.

These are some really great recordings! Many of them seem more "real" in that they sound like what you would hear during an actual emergency, not what you hear on test day 50 ft from the siren. :D

the Harper_Woods_MI_1000T in the "more recent" folder, and 2001SRN Alert 2 in the "Siren contest 04" folder are mine.

I'm pretty sure that the Thunderbolt In Albert Lea sound (in Contest 1) was mine, and I know that the (somewhat controversial) dellsstorm.wav is mine.

This sounds really interesting, especially since I've only been here for a little over a year (I joined in July of 2009). Will have to check this out when I get a chance.

I'm glad to see a good positive response form everyone. I was worried someone would get their feathers ruffled and whine about their 8 year old recording being distributed. There were a lot of files I wasn't going to include just to keep it more streamlined, but I decided to include everything....I don't see any complaints about that either

I've been going through this for the past two days, and I can't even tell you how many memories this has brought back. Some of these recordings I haven't heard since I was in elementary school, and I'm 21 now. But at the same time, it's crazy how many of them I'd never heard until now. Thank you so much, Jason, and anyone else who had a part in making this available.
