It is a 1000T. After seeing the video with the 1000, I went to one of the siren Maps on Bing or Google to see where that video was taking from. The video was talking from the dormitories across the street from UC on Clifton Avenue. The 1000 that was heard could have been the one seen off of I-75 heading towards downtown. Just a guess though.

It's probably the one on the EPA building. The one at Spring Grove and Arlington is too far away from there to be heard from that location. The one on the EPA building is a little over half a mile (as the crow flies) from the one on Calhoun Hall.

That neighborhood in that video with the 1000 was taken from is just to the west of UC's campus, so the one at Spring Grove & Alfred would be fairly close. Spring Grove & Arlington is where that stolen Tbolt used to be.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

I know where that neighborhood is - it's only 10 minutes from my house.

Even though I had my locations mixed up, I still think the one on the EPA building is the one heard in the video due to the extreme difference in elevation between UC and Spring Grove Avenue.

Did anyone else hear a growl test today? It happened here between 4:50 and 4:55 PM.

growl

Mon Jun 06, 2011 10:49 pm

I growled the siren at the Colerain Twp fire station at Galbraith Rd. The siren was reported as not going off for the test on the first of June. It went for the growl but not the other signals. The gel cell was bad and needed to be replaced

So the old Sterling that was on the Groesbeck station is gone now?

No, the gel cell in the RTU needed to be replaced. It's still there.

I thought it sounded on June 1st, but I could be mistaken.
