Sorry to dredge up an old thread from the deep dark archives, however the siren system in Minot, ND has just been activated for flooding overtopping the levees. The flooding scenario is predicted to be worse then the 1969 floods. Bad for this area of ND.

If anyone is following this event, the local TV station is streaming live coverage, KXMC (with siren audio of the Whelens in attack mode). Here's the linky...

I saw a video of an EOWS 612 that sounded very much like that Whelen. I did not know Whelen 3016s were capable of being dual-toned!

why does ABC News insist on using an ATI as something to show with the sound of the siren? Saw it on Eyewitness News at 5, and then World News.
