Hey guys! Before moving to SoCal in 2007, I was a resident of New Jersey....Maywood, to be precise. During the time I lived there, when attending middle school there in town, I happened to notice that there was a Thunderbolt 1003 perched on it's roof, which used to be activated in the 50's and 60's. Anyone happen to know about it? according to this picture here, It was still standing in 2008.

and there was some concern that one of them might fall because it was leaning pretty bad.
What was the closest siren, an SD-10, to where I live now, was removed 10 years ago when I also saw it was leaning, and reported it.

When FEMA pulled their matching funds for siren maintenance in 1989, many cities here stopped testing them.
