Hey everyone, I'm back, this time with a new siren I discovered in Providence, Rhode Island. Along Route 1A in the port district, it is the only freestanding siren that I know of in RI. Now, I'm not an expert in sirens, only an enthusiast, so I'm not exactly sure what type or model it is. And the only guess I have as to why it is there would be to alert in the event of a ship or oil tank explosion, or for hurricane warning. I'm not aware of any other sirens like this in Providence or RI, so if anyone has some info on this, feel free to leave a comment!
