P-50 Problem

It sounds like this siren actually has a problem. See CBS 58's story on it:

http://www.cbs58.com/index.php?aid=12034

Hopefully Milwaukee County will get the system back up and running 100% soon.

ACA P-10 / P-15 Horsepower Rating

I noticed in the ACA brochure that jkvernon posted ( http://www.airraidsirens.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7079 ), the Penetrator 10 is listed as having a 15 horsepower motor. Wouldn't that make it a P-15? :? I thought the motor horsepower rating was the only way to identify if a siren is a P-10 or P-...

I didn't know there was a siren at Summerfest. I think that's the only Federal Signal siren on the system. I tried looking for it on Google Maps, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. As far as other sirens in the county, here's what I found: Model - Quantity Alertronic (6000?) - 1 Aller...

From what I gather from this article, Milwaukee County E.G. will still be responsible for activating the sirens, but they might only activate sirens for the directly affected areas. Do you think they are going to upgrade the Compulert system or will they totally replace the Compulert system. It will...

Should we start a list?

I'm not aware of a complete list of sirens and their outputs and frequencies. However, this thread has a list of some of the frequencies of sirens. http://airraidsirens.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1523 Does anyone think we should start a thread to try to list all sirens and include: -Manufacturer -Mo...

Excellent video!!! Interesting how the fiberglass ripples. I never noticed that before. I like the echo during the attack cycle, also.

Keep the great videos coming!

If I had the money, and time I would take a little road trip up there to see that baby in action. I imagine it sounds spooky with P-50s and 10s mixing with it, that is if there are others sirens near it. I don't get up that way too often but I know there's an Allertor about a mile east of there, a ...

Re: How Does the ACA Hurricane Work?

What is the blower's psi (pounds per square inch) rating, as in how much air pressure does it produce and at what speed/velocity does it travel? 450 cubic feet per minute @ 10 psi. Can the Hurricane's rotator RPM level be changed like the Thunderbolt, or is it fixed at 2RPM? I don't know if it can ...
