Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

Apparently, it might not just be that siren, and FCEM&HS suspects foul play may be involved, per the article I'm sharing here: https://fcemhs.org/News-Media/Press-Releases/2020/Franklin-County-Experiencing-Unauthorized-Outdoor Also, a screenshot here identifies where there's been at least one su...

Re: T-Bolt in old Civil Defense video

Judging by the mountains in the background, and by the buildings around the siren, I surmise this rare Thunderbolt was part of Pasadena's outdoor warning system. It seems I can clearly see Mt. Wilson in the first shot of the siren.

the one at the end sounds like the clearest recording of, well, what may have been left active (of the Hi-low Whelens) in the system after the first severe blows of the storm may have had it's way. The tornado is seen approaching toward the end. Gott another one posted with a full chase (complete wi...

Azusa, CA: Azusa Pacific's WPS 2903

While I know I've been kind of a stranger on this board, it think that's because there aren't that many active sirens/siren systems here in SoCal. However, Azusa Pacific University has an excellent Whelen Mass Notification system that I'd not known a lot about until recently. However, today I've fin...

It's sad, but yet good, that it was quoted towards the end that "the sirens were too loud". I say sad because they need to be that way to do their job, of course. what kind of siren coverage did Oahu have back during the 1994 one?

An Eclipse-12? that would almost be like having the STH-10 come back with a new look and a higher pitch, right?

Re: Federal 500AT sounds at '42 WWII LA air raid re-enactmen

Their museum has two SD10s and one 500AT. So they have two of those "sound all arounds?" I happened to only see one, and the choppers looked pretty good...maybe that's the one that they sounded at the more recent event. I can't say the same about the housing, though, as it looks pretty ba...

Hey guys! Before moving to SoCal in 2007, I was a resident of New Jersey....Maywood, to be precise. During the time I lived there, when attending middle school there in town, I happened to notice that there was a Thunderbolt 1003 perched on it's roof, which used to be activated in the 50's and 60's....

why does ABC News insist on using an ATI as something to show with the sound of the siren? Saw it on Eyewitness News at 5, and then World News.
